- Chair Wofford led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance and asked the Board members to observe a moment of silence.Recorded
- Aidra Shaw, Principal of Cainhoy Elementary School, recognized Dr. Michael Obremskey and his family for their recent donation of over $10,000 to the school in memory of his wife, Mary Esther Obremskey, who was a dedicated volunteer. The funds were raised in honor of her legacy to the children of the Cainhoy community. Title One Facilitator, Johanna Sampson, spoke about Ms. Obremskey and talked about how the money would be used for music appreciation, art appreciation, and a new reading and volunteer nook at the school.Recorded
- Upcoming Dates and Events. Chair Wofford reminded Board members of the upcoming South Carolina School Board Association annual convention in Hilton Head, SC, February 16-19, 2017. She reminded the newly elected members that New Board Member Training will be held on Thursday, February 16th.Recorded
