- Chair Wofford called the meeting to order, a quorum was declared, and the media had been notified.Recorded

- Dr. Kevin O'Gorman, Chief Academic Officer, recognized Tana Lee, Director of Career and Technical Education, for receiving the South Carolina Association of Career and Technical Education's Administrator of the Year award for the second year in a row.Recorded
- Recommendation to Name Road at Bowen's Corner Elementary School. Mac McQuillin and Michael Ramsey presented a resolution for naming the road at Bowen's Corner Elementary School in honor of previous Board member Frances Brewer. Ms. Brewer served on the Board for 16 years from 1990 to 2006.Recorded
- Ms. Carlen presented RFP #517-(16-17) for pianos for Philip Simmons High (Term Contract).Recorded

- Ms. Wofford announced that special Board meetings will be held three nights next week on August 1, August 2, and August 3, for the purpose of interviewing the candidates selected as finalists for the superintendent vacancy. A public reception will be held in the Boardroom at 6:00 p.m. each evening for employees, community members, and stakeholders to meet the candidate. The Board meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. each evening. The daily schedule for the candidate visits will be provided to the public when finalized. Ms. Wofford encouraged everyone to come out to the OneBerkeley Goes Back to School Festival on August 12th.Recorded
