- Dr. Kevin O'Gorman, Chief Academic Officer, spoke about the recommendation of administration to designate H. E. Bonner Elementary School as an Arts Infused Magnet School. Bonner has been an arts infused school since 2010, when a five-year plan was established to train faculty and staff on arts integration with the intent to open seats at Bonner for students outside of its attendance zone that desired an education infusing the arts. The school has also been the recipient of the Arts in Basic Curriculum (ABC) grant and Distinguished Arts Program (DAP) grant from the South Carolina Department of Education. Dr. O'Gorman noted that the school has been operating as an arts school for the last six and one-half years and using school level funding to support the program.Recorded
