Berkeley County School District — Board of Education, December 11, 2018

• Facility Plan Update.  Dr. Anthony Parker of Harding, Parker, & Associates, LLC, shared a Powerpoint presentation with an update on the District's facility plan. He spoke about changes to the plan since the first presentation to the Board which now includes Costlab numbers.  Dr. Parker shared a second Powerpoint on the Board's preparation for growth. He listed short range, mid range and long range options for the Board to consider.  He provided the Board with 3 recommended changes to attendance lines to help the District deal with growth, which mainly focused on the Carnes Crossing subdivision to help with the overcrowding in the Cane Bay area schools.  He recommended elementary school students in the area be reassigned to Devon Forest Elementary, middle school students be reassigned to College Park Middle, and high school students be reassigned to Stratford High.  Discussion was held on the information provided.Recordedmoved by Laura Kelly, seconded by Frank Wright
