Berkeley County School District — Board of Education, September 14, 2021
Members present: Mac McQuillin, David Barrow
- Mike Miller with Numerix presented on attendance lines and the rapid growth in Berkeley County. He shared a PowerPoint with the Board. Mr. Miller said he had received input from Berkeley County Planning and had been given regular GIS updates. He stated the historic growth in Berkeley County regarding K-12 students has increased 1.9% per year from 2015-2016 until 2020-2021 due to large residential areas. Mr. Miller also gave scenarios for utilizing schools that aren't at full capacity and trying to relieve some overcrowded schools.Recorded
