Berkeley County School District — Board of Education, April 8, 2024

• School Renewal Plans - Spring 2024 - Dr. Susan Gehlmann updated the Board on the process for reviewing the School Renewal Plans and asked the Board to provide feedback.  Dr. Gehlmann explained the plans are required by the SC State Board of Education and are developed every five years. The plans are updated annually within the five year initial cycle. Dr. Gehlmann stated this is the fourth year of the 5-year planning cycle, due to a gap year because of COVID-19.   She shared the plans can be edited any time throughout the school year and are live documents for all stakeholders. The plans will come back before the Board for approval and will need to be submitted to the State Department of Education by April 30th.Recordedmoved by Mac McQuillin, seconded by Kathy Littleton
