Berkeley County School District — Board of Education, May 5, 2025

• Committee Chair Joe Baker called the meeting to order, declared a quorum was present, and the media had been notified.Recordedmoved by Cindy Coats, seconded by Joe Baker
• David "Buck" Hemstrought updated the Board onthe Penny Sales Tax projects.  He shared that Midtown Middle and Bee Tree Elementary are moving along nicely as is the renovations to Hanahan Middle.  He shared the completion of the press boxes and Berkeley Highs baseball and softball fields and shared what's next for athletic upgrades to include PSH bleachers, CHS track and field improvements along with a mobile restroom as the softball field, Hanahan and Statford Highs turf football fields, GCH locker room, and Timberland and Cane Bay highs weight room expansions.  Buck also shared the final phase projects to include Berkeley and Goose Creek High, Highway 52 Corridor School, and Cane Bay High additions.Recordedmoved by Joe Baker, seconded by Cindy Coats
